The recently organized Lakme Fashion Week winter/festive 2016 showcased the art and the craft of the well-known Indian Fashion designers. Many high profile designers, as well as the Bollywood celebrities witnessed this fashion fiesta. Also, it provided a platform for the budding designers to show their talent and establish themselves into the high-profile fashion industry. The event was themed at redefining Indian textiles and weaves keeping the silhouettes natural and winter friendly.
1.The camel coats are classic and universally flattering which can never go out of style.
2. Another fashion trend to look out for is the black pencil-shaved frill, pre-stitched sari with a black collar around the neck.
3. Embroidered jeans accompanied with crisp cotton shirts were also a great take away from the Lakme Fashion week.
4. Blush Pink Leaf Embroidered Gowns in raw silk base and Cape Set are perfect for the winter evening.
5.The blend of western wear with the Indian traditional dresses such as lungi-skirts, the crop top with gold work will be a major fashion trend this year end.
6.The bridal wear collection for the upcoming wedding season includes the Indian traditional deep reds, golden hand-embroidered ensembles blues, greens and even the statement blacks which include saris, cocktail dresses, lehengas and suits for the different events leading to the D Day.
7.For men, the bandh-gala, rich silk sherwanis with floral prints certainly demarcated the look on the ramp in the LFW Winter Edition and will find a place in this year’s fashion trends too.
8. Stream-lined pajamas, sleeveless kurtas, embroidered Nehru jackets, double jackets and drop crotch pants for men, also showcased at the Lakme Fashion Week will find prominence on stands.
Jumpsuits, dresses, kaftans, palazzo pants, low waist dresses and shirts atop saris are some of the other collection to look out for this winter season.
The popular trends for this upcoming season focus on keeping warm, wrapping up and going oversize with coats, duvet coats, cloaks and robes. Knits are crucial this season and the longer and wider, the better. The vintage tailored designer suits for men are among the others to look out for this season.
