Best Design School in Delhi – Leher School of Design

LSOD/Leher School of Design, formerly known as Lisaa School of Design, is a prestigious design institute based in Delhi, established in 2011 under PJVS Edu Ventures Private Limited. The institution is committed to fostering creative talent and equipping students with the skills necessary to excel as professional designers across various design disciplines.

Over the past 14 years, we’ve focused on design education, and through our experiences, we’ve realised the importance of incorporating our rich Indian heritage and culture into our curriculum. We believe in empowering our youth to use their creativity to help protect our planet.

This foundation has allowed us to nurture creativity while grounding students in the traditions that have defined our nation for centuries.

A New Focus on Sustainability

As we look towards the future, we recognize the critical role that design can play in addressing global challenges. They play a crucial role in promoting sustainability, and their responsibility extends far beyond aesthetics and functionality. Sustainable design integrates environmental, social, and economic concerns into the creative process.

Hence, our curriculum will now place a stronger emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), empowering the next generation of designers to make a meaningful impact on the environment and society.

Directors Desk

Dr ROHINI SAHNI

It has been my honor to serve as the Director of Leher School of Design for nearly a decade. Over the years, we have been dedicated to nurturing creativity, enabling innovation, and empowering our students to make a meaningful impact on society through design.

With 14 years of experience in design education, we have come to deeply value the integration of India’s rich heritage and cultural legacy into our academic framework. This perspective has been instrumental in shaping our vision for the future.

In 2024, we are proud to announce the launch of LSOD – Leher School of Design, a transformative step forward in our journey. This reimagined institution builds on our legacy while strengthening our focus on preparing students for leadership roles in both Indian and global markets. Importantly, all degrees offered will be awarded by a university approved by the University Grants Commission, ensuring our students have access to globally recognized qualifications.

As part of this new chapter, we are unveiling a state-of-the-art campus designed to foster inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation. Our updated curriculum will place significant emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflecting our commitment to empowering students to address global challenges and contribute to a more sustainable future.

We firmly believe that there is no PLANET B. Through education, creativity, and awareness, we aim to inspire future generations to use their talents to safeguard the Earth for themselves and the generations to come.

The name “Leher” holds deep personal significance, inspired by my granddaughter and symbolizing hope and possibility. My vision is to empower her—and all young individuals—with the tools to achieve their aspirations, and to leave them with a safe, thriving planet. This launch represents a pivotal step toward realizing that vision.

I am confident that this is the “right move at the right time”, and I look forward to seeing LSOD make a lasting impact in the field of design education.

Warm regards,
Dr. Rohini Sahni
Director, Leher School of Design
